Abizer Gaslightwala’s career experience spans almost 30 years across the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, as well as strategic consulting and process development engineering. He is currently Senior Vice President at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, leading the US Oncology Business Unit which encompasses 5 products across both solid and hematological malignancies, with annual sales approaching $1B.   

Prior to joining Jazz, Abizer worked at Amgen where he had a variety of marketing, sales, and commercial leadership roles, including leading its US Multiple Myeloma business.  Multiple roles prior to this included an Areas Sales Leader in its Oncology Business, leading a Global Insights, Forecasting, and Competitive Intelligence team across the therapeutic portfolio, and as a brand marketer on the launch of Repatha for high cholesterol in high-risk cardiovascular patients.   

Before Amgen, Abizer was at Pfizer, where he had multiple global marketing and commercial planning roles, including building Pfizer’s Biosimilar business unit in oncology and inflammation, launching Eliquis, and advancing Pfizer’s pain therapeutic franchise, which at the time included Celebrex and a novel new biologic therapeutic for pain. 

Prior to Pfizer, Abizer worked for Centocor/Johnson & Johnson, supporting the autoimmune/inflammation therapeutic area on in-line brands including Remicade, as well as commercial planning for novel new molecules for RA, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis. Before Johnson & Johnson, Abizer worked at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) supporting several biotechnology and pharmaceutical strategic projects for a variety of clients.   

Abizer completed a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management and a MS in Chemical Engineering from MIT.
