Philippe Bishop brings to Abdera an extensive track record in oncology drug development. Previously, he served as chief medical officer of Atreca, a clinical-stage, oncology-focused biotechnology company.

Prior to Atreca, Philippe served as chief medical officer of Clover Biopharmaceuticals and was executive vice president and chief medical officer at aratinga.bio. Before founding aratinga.bio in 2017, he was senior vice president, hematology / oncology at Gilead Sciences and held clinical development roles at Genentech, Johnson & Johnson and Sanofi-Aventis.

Philippe previously held leadership positions at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and National Institutes of Health.

Philippe received his M.D. from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a medical oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute.
